The SCS is a floor side mounted hi-speed camera Swing Capture and ball tracking system

that can be used for both Left and Right handed players

without having to move the unit.

The SCS is placed 5 to 8 ft away on either the right or left side of the enclosure

and 3 to 4 ft ahead of where the ball is being played from.

The SCS hi-speed camera - with wide angle lens and longer exposure time -

captures 150 to 300 frames of the ball and player before and after ball strike.

So you not only see how the ball flies, but also how you struck it with your back swing and swing follow through

The longer exposure time shows the ball in each frame as a bright motion blur streak whereby the length of the streak

and spacing between ball streaks in each frame is directly proportional to the ball speed.

Another big advantage of using longer camera exposure times is that the player is illuminated without the requirement to add more lighting.

The SCT hi-speed camera - with wide angle lens and long exposure time -

captures 32 to 128 frames of the ball and club with the players club swing before and after ball strike.

The combo SCTS is - to the best of our knowledge at least - the only hi-speed camera tracking system that combines

both ball and club tracking with swing capture video playback.

The SCS captures the player and ball viewed from the side while the SCT captures ball and club viewed from overhead.

In contrast to most other systems - (especially radar based systems where essentially zero data is user verifiable)

all data with the VisTrak hi-speed camera systems is user verifiable.

i.e. you can see with your own eyes in the shot video playback the real vertical (ball LA) and horizontal (ball path) angles of the shot

plus club face angle at impact to the ball and club path.

Even ball spin can be user verified.

The LX detects ball spin rate using the ball logo or ball spin dots.

Spin Dot Balls

The problem with using the ball logo to detect spin is that the player has to bend down

and place the ball on the mat with the logo facing the camera for every shot.

Using spin dot balls with a 360 degree spherical dot pattern eliminates this requirement

LX/EV systems view balls from the side. Rotation is calculated around the center of the ball between frames

VisTrak LX2 comparisons with other floor mounted Launch monitors

Recently, while finishing off the new LX2 features , I thought I'd check out what the competition to this product would be.

Starting off with the Uneekor Mini (with a list price of a whopping $4,500) I viewed the review videos.

Expecting to see really nice shot video playbacks of the club making contact with the ball from the top camera showing club face angle and path,

I was shocked to see that no such video playback of the club face angle at impact to the ball or path is anywhere to be seen or featured in the videos.

Likewise, the GC3 also doesn't detect club face angle or - from what we can gather at least - show any shot playback videos showing club face at impact to the ball

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm astonished why people are raving about systems that cost over 3 times the price of the LX2 ($1,699)

that doesn't even capture club face angle and path shot videos from a top camera.

Basic Operating instructions

Place ball as shown above in the launch zone area.

Wait until the you hear the "ball detected" beep or green LED strip light stops pulsing and turns constant ON,

and you're ready to swing.

LX2 to EVi conversion

You can also convert your LX2 to an EVi system simply by removing the horizontal external camera and mounting it on the ceiling.

Just add the track lights ($150), a new 12mmm lens and a 32ft USB3 extension cable.
